Protect Your Irrigation System Before Winter
Michigan winters can cause serious damage to irrigation systems that still have water trapped in the lines. Professional winterization uses compressed air to remove water from your sprinkler system and help protect pipes, valves, heads, and other components from freeze damage.

Our sprinkler winterization service includes:
Our goal is simple: properly prepare your irrigation system for a West Michigan winter.
In most cases, no.
You do not need to be home during your appointment as long as our technician has access to everything needed to winterize the system.
Depending on your system, we may need access to:
To help us complete your winterization quickly and efficiently:
Please unlock gates and remove anything blocking sprinkler equipment.
If the controller is inside a garage or other locked area, we will need access.
Some systems require access to an interior shutoff, often located in a basement or mechanical room.
Please tell us when scheduling if your irrigation system uses a pump, lake water, well, multiple controllers, or another non-standard setup.
Winterization is our busiest season of the year, and we service hundreds of irrigation systems throughout West Michigan.

1. Submit your winterization request
2. We add your property to our scheduling route
3. You receive your appointment confirmation by text or email
4. Our technician completes your winterization

Because we route appointments geographically, appointment availability can vary by location.
For most West Michigan properties, late September through October is the ideal time to winterize.
The goal is to shut the system down after the primary watering season but before prolonged freezing temperatures arrive.
We continue winterization appointments into November, but scheduling earlier provides additional protection from an unexpected early freeze
Even a small amount of water trapped inside an irrigation system can freeze and expand.
Freeze damage can affect:
A professional blowout helps remove trapped water and significantly reduces the risk of freeze-related irrigation damage.
Usually not. As long as we have the necessary access to your irrigation system, controller, water shutoff, and property, we can typically complete the winterization without you being home.
Our residential minimum winterization price is $105 for systems with 1–8 zones.
Systems with additional zones, pumps, multiple controllers, commercial properties, or unusual configurations may have additional charges.
Our 2026 winterization season begins September 21 and runs through approximately November 15, weather permitting.
No problem. Let us know how many zones you have when requesting service so we can provide the appropriate pricing.
Yes. We winterize irrigation systems regardless of who originally installed them.
Please let us know when scheduling. Pump-fed irrigation systems require additional steps and may have additional charges.
If we notice an obvious problem during winterization, we will document it and let you know. Many repairs can then be scheduled for spring when the system is turned back on.
A brief overnight frost does not necessarily mean your underground irrigation system has frozen. If unusually severe freezing weather is forecast before your appointment, protect exposed plumbing and backflow components and contact us if you have concerns.
